God’s Acres Program
If you don’t want to raise livestock, the God’s Acres program is a great way to utilize your land and equipment for missions. You get to watch the crop grow until ready for harvest. This is a daily reminder that you are having a part in the great Spiritual Harvest that is happening around the world.

As a farmer, there are no fees to participate.
As a farmer, there are no fees to participate. There’s no need to write a check or send a cash donation. Your donation to the project is the use of your land and machinery to plant and harvest a crop.
We give you funds to cover the production costs on 5, 10, 20 or more acres of crops. You also get to choose what crop to plant. We provide funds for the seed, fertilizer, chemical, and fuel*, and all losses are covered by our insurance fund. It really is a risk-free investment.

The greatest benefit is that you get to choose the missionary or mission project you want to partner with from within our member mission societies.
Before starting the project, we will need you to sign an Agreement of Stewardship form letting us know your production costs for the project and also lets us know who you want to support. That way, you get to be personally involved in seeing the profits from your project go toward your chosen designation as the gospel reaches more and more people through your investment.
After you’ve harvested and marketed the crop, you mail the check from the sale to STEER. If you’re selling some of your own crop at the same time, simply take the overall average and have the marketing agent make the check payable to STEER, Inc. for the portion that is designated for missions.
It’s best not to make the check payable to your own account. That way you’re not obligated to declare the profits as income.

Later, you will receive a notice of sales form from us for the gain on the project. We deduct the investment funds and 90% of the profits goes toward your chosen mission agency.
